At Posh Home Designs, it’s our goal to help you make your home in Birmingham all that it can be.

“Kam went out of her way to make sure we loved all of our purchases. She exchanged items when necessary and took lots of time with us. She used our budget wisely and was very truthful and honest. Even our two dogs loved her when she came over! Our home has never looked more beautiful.”

Lake Orion is located in the northern portion of Oakland County, Southeast Michigan. While part of the larger Detroit Metropolitan Area and facing growth pressures, the Village continues to grow in a sustainable manner. Established in 1859 on the shore of Lake Orion, the Village stands apart from other communities, boasting a historic downtown, well-established residential neighborhoods, and natural resources with abundant lakefront and rivers. Surrounded by Orion Township, the Village of Oxford is due north and the City of Auburn Hills located to the south. The primary transport route is State Highway 24 (M-24) which acts as a center dividing line for the community – separating the waters of Lake Orion from the historic downtown located just east of M-24.

Lake Orion Resources

Orion Area Chamber of Commerce – The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce is a valuable resource for businesses, providing leadership, advocacy, professional development and economic growth for businesses in and around the Orion area. The OACC is an effective and influential community partner. We work closely with and strive to be a strategic, trusted partner of Orion Township, the Village of Lake Orion, Oakland County and the State of Michigan. Our goal is to serve as the leaders of positive future growth for members’ businesses and the community.

Lake Orion Public Library – The Lake Orion Library, established by the Lake Orion Women’s Club in 1926, was first located on the second floor 37 E. Flint Street. In 1929, Orion Township residents ratified a proposition to levy taxes in support of the Lake Orion Library, renaming it the Orion Township Free Public Library.

Orion Historical Society – The Orion Historical Society, a 501(c)3 organization, was founded in 1994 as a community organization dedicated to the preservation of Orion’s legacy. Since the first organizational meeting early in 1994, dedicated members have worked hard at increasing awareness of our community’s unique architectural and historical resources. As a result of their hard work, more people have come to understand that preservation can mean a more solid future for the community. A sense of continuity grounded in buildings and places that have a significant place in our communal history contributes to our sense of well-being and connection to our neighbors. Connection in turn gives rise to informed and well-rounded decision-making about the future.
